I don't remember seeing it in the 2nd movie...i never saw the original 2fag2fag movie so I dunno. double clutching is for cars without synchros...which were invented like in the 60s...so don't do it, the synchros are there for a reason.

Your talking about "power shifting" right? Not double clutching. You just get the RPM's so high you just "yank" gears. I used to do that in my RX7. Your s**t won't last long doing that. I just ran the **** out of that car... didn't care what happened to it. They never tore out though.

I'm not sure that there really is a term for just yanking gears with no clutch...Thats just crazyness! Power Shifting is using the clutch, but never lifting the acclerator from the floor.

Also not amazingly healthy for the car.

Oh yeah... Just leave your foot on the floor, push in the clutch just far enough to engage and shift. Your s**t wouldn't last long that way either.

Ha, man thats funny. I've always heard of those terms and have been driving a standard for about 3 years now, but I never knew exactly how they were done or what they meant. The funny thing is I've tried all those things on my own and was like "man this is worthless and prolly isn't too good for my car." I don't understand why anyone would do those in modern cars. Seems your ET's would be lower wasting the time to double clutch and a blown tranny or something powershifting. You can get those adjustable cluthes also where you only have to push the clutch down very very little and it disengages the connectors. Get that for some fast shifting. The downside is its not really a smooth transition like daily driving, but who needs that when your doing 100 down the track?

Double clutching was used for british sports cars back in the day, amoung other companies. The need to double clutch comes from the fact that trannies back then had no sycros. No sycros and a mis matched engine rpm to tranny rpm equals GRIND. Double clutching was used to match rpms and smooth out the shift. Not nessecary at all in todays cars. Not to worry.
