Default Chip on my stang?

I have a 2004 Mustang GT, too bad it happens to be an automatic but whatever, i want it to be faster and i dont want to spend a lot of money. most people i know are telling me to buy a chip. i am looking to spend about 200-400 dollars on the chip and i want a noticeable difference in the speed. If anybody has any suggestions on how to make my stang faster just leave me a reply thanks.. and i am not only looking at chips, if there is another way to make it faster just let me know. thanks

There are tons of ways to make mustangs faster. A chip will benefit a stock automatic more than it will a stock 5 speed because it can adjust shift points and shift firmness. Definitely a good buy, expecially if you plan on doing any other mods, as it will benefit you more the more mods you have on your car. Go for the SCT XCal 2 or Diablo. Don't waste your money on the other ones. Also to get a real noticable difference in performance, go for gears. Gears will run you probably about 500 bucks installed and definitely worth the cash.

Also, if you are looking for mods that are automatic-specific, might want to look into a shift kit and/or a torque converter
