I owned a 2001 L and just traded in on a 03 GT 5 speed manual and have not looked back. I love the mustang because it feels more sportier than the L did. don't get me wrong the L was fun, I kinda of miss the supercharger wine and the torque would throw you back in the seat, but it was still a truck. I can mod the GT and get it back into the L 1/4 mile range or better so not worried to much about losing HP.



If you want a sports car get the mustang, but if you want to haul 800 pounds or pull 5000 pounds and still be able to kick a little tail on the weekends get the L. For me I just got bored with it being it has an automatic and it did not feel sporty to me.

My younger brother has a 2000 lightning that runs very close to my dads 2003 SC cobra. Via underdrive pulley for the sc, a johnny lightning throttle body and a cold air intake kit, and Johnny lightning chip. Its seriously bad. He paid like 26 for it before the mods. It also has a 2001 gasket kit and lower intake manifold. The 03 mustang will come with a factory warenty but will go for between 33 and 36, depending on the rebates offerd by the dealer. It comes in a larger array of colors. Go for a 99 thru 2001 lightning, a 2001 being the truck of choice. This is because you can find a used one, for less money, and if its not modified, then it will be ok. The 2001 and up are super tough, in that the drivetrain and gasket kits are designed to go a hunderd thousand miles under sever driving, and usualy people with these trucks arent using them for daily driving, though many do.

That truck is badass..... So is the cobra, and the cobra's only got 10 hp more, but way less torque.... i must admit tho, everyone i know who drives a badass pickup (i.e. 5.9rt, silverado ss, ford lightning) is a hardcore redneck<IMG src=smileys/smiley2.gif border="0">
