Default 99 Auto GT:

Hey guys was wondering what was the best for driving an auto gt, With or without o/d. I notice when i have it off the car seems quicker, and is it o.k. to drive with it off or does this hurt the engine because i notice unless u turn it off ith is on???

Thanks

it'll hurt if you're going 60-100 with o/d off constantly, for long periods, especially if you use never change your oil.

over drive is basically your 4rth gear and it prevents you from cruising at 4000RPM instead you can cruise at a gas happy 2100RPM. The only time you turn over drive off is if you plan on towing something.

Drive with o/d off around town. If you traveling over 45-50 mph turn the o/d on. Saves gas this way.
