Default found a possible prob!!!

Well today my car was runnin like crap and i have noticed it being a terd lately. Its been idlin very strange and its just been outta wack. The car was not makin boost like it should but The belt had been slipping previously and i assumed that once again it was slipping causing it to not make boost. WellI decided i was tired of the car being a pile of slow crap and started lookin for things wrong i started the car and heard a vaccumm leak. I located a rubber hose that attached the passenger side valve cover to the TB/Plenum housing. It had a split almost along the whole tube and was leakin bad! i pulled it off and taped it up(temporary fix) to see if it helped. well the air noise went away. and i noticed that the line was under vaccumm, because it was sucked shut and flattened, and when i'd rev the motor it would air back up. Im gonna find a replacement for it and tomorrow i'm gonna see if this helped the problems i had at all.

** Has anybody else ever had this problem with that hose? and do you think that it could possibly be my problem. it could very well be the problem i'm havin with only makin 6 psi instead of 7-8 like i should have. couldnt it?

I have that exact problem. I cant figure out what it is. It get completly flat when idleing. I also replace the hose with the strongest goodyear hose they make and had the same problem. I replace the PCV and still the same problem it just dosnt seem like it runing at 100% with it like this. If anyone knows what it is or if you figure it out it would make me a very happy person.lol

my first guess would have been a clogged pcv but clix already ruled that out, that's a tricky one....

if the hose is cracked and leaking air, it is defiantly costing you boost. Any leaks are bad.
