Yes, they do. I will gladly point those of you who have never owned an AWD turbo vehicle to reputable sites that will back me up.
Lest we forget one of the fastest cars on the road (on the PLANET) is in-fact an Evo.

i will gladly keep my mouth shut if someone directs me to the terminator threads. thats what im interested in.
this thread is completely retarded and i cant believe some of the **** that people actually think is true. does anyone know anything about cars anymore, or is the fast and the furious going to remain a staple in car culture??
boost controllers do not cost 15 bucks. awd helps a launch by distributing torque to all 4 wheels and gripping hard. i thought that would be obvious.
sure evo's are kind of quick but they dont have enough torque to run with my car and as long as you gt owners worry about low end you will be fine. dont be afraid of their launch, they will easily pull 2 cars from a dig but i reel em in....

Goddam I've seen a lot of stupid posts in this thread.
First off the Evo and STi are NOT rice, IMO. Sure, they have the goofy wing, but that comes from their rally heritage.
Second, stock for stock, an evo will spank you, assuming equal drivers. Mod for mod you don't even want to try. The 4g63 powerplant makes awesome gains with the right bolt ons.

Well 276hp times 4 wheels would be 1104hp. Stock mustangs have 265hp on 2 wheels which would make your car have 530hp. So the evo would be 2x as fast.......
