My buddy just bought a 2005 pontiac Grand Prix GTP, which i guess is a supercharged 6. I have amustang gt, and he's been wanting to race me. Both of us right now are bone stock. Both cars are automatics. Who would win?

 

That picture kinda looks like a New Edge, even though your name kinda suggests a 2k6 Mustang GT...either one should have no problem with the Grand ******.

Well personally I've never seen the 2 race but I wouldn't completely underestimate him. The 05 GTP's make 260hp and 280lb. ft. torque. Now granted it's a heavier FWD car. I just don't think it'll be the blow out you may think. It also depends if he knows how to launch a FWD car with ****ty all weather tires(assume that is what it has).

 

it will be a really close race, if you were stick I would definitely GT...

i have a 97 gtp and i got it to run a 14.6 1/4mile (very hard to get traction with that power and FWD), so you should beat him. from a rolling start it would be close, from a stand still you should win

 

Ya because im sure the whole .1-.2 time difference between the stick and auto would make worlds of difference [&:]

 

from a roll if you are both stock you might have a problem

However, I did get my doors blown off my '72 Nova by one that sounded like a damn 03 Cobra blower. Had a boost increase in it and hte blower was kicking it in the ***. My Nova was no sloutch either and probably would have run nose to nose or just behind what I have now in my sig.
