Well that's the confusing part. His name elludes to him being a 2006 but his sig pictures shows a new edge. That will make a huge difference. If he does have a new edge it's going to be a close race, with mustang with the advantage. If its a 2006, bye bye grand prix.

 

ive raced one without gears and it was like he was standing still from both dig and a roll.

 

my mom has a 05 gtp and a buddy of mine drove it for our race and i won each time we raced, mine is pretty much stock. we went form a dig and a couple of rolls from diffrent mph. i think its like a 10 or 20 horsepower diff. stock

race him from a STOP. My bud had a 00 and I could rape him from a stop, but it was only a slow pulling away until 80 MPH from a low 1st gear roll, and that was with a 5 speed.

 

05 mustang gt's dont run a 13.9 quarter mile..but anyways a new edge gt will walk over that pile of grand pix let alone a s197.

 

No Sir. From a stand point, FWD has the disadvantage as the weight of the vehicle is transferred reward, therefore taking traction off of the front wheels.

I'm sure there are many, many 05 GTs that run a 13.9 quarter mile. Just like there are many that run 14.3 and many that run 13.5.

The OP said he has an 06 GT.

The auto will downshift, its just not as reliable, as you are counting on the car to choose the right gear to shift to.

 

I assumed because he said he didn't have the pictures of his new car up that his new car was an '06, judging from his name.
