More bad track times...sigh...

RE: More bad track times...sigh...
Your going to have to bite the bullet and get it on a dyno with a a/f meter and see whats going on. Its only going to cost between 50 and 100 bucks... much cheaper than just trying to swap out parts that probably arn't going to fix it anyway.
Your traps are horrid, and there are only 3 possibilitys. Either you are shifting badly, your car isn't making the power it should, or the track conditions are horrible and you didn't let the car get cool enough before the run (thus killing power). With a 91 MPH trap your WHP level is the problem, weither it be from being a hot car on a hot day or your tune being screwed up.

Yeah, I guess that's what i'm gonna do. Talked to Chris Tuten(I guess some of you may know him) yesterday and he said he could tune it in about an hour. $180 an hour! I assume that's not too bad. I don't know the guy but he is supposed to be the best around this area. Other than MPH. Saw him at Jackson on Thursday with a real sick Fox body.

ok back to my point. for one thing why would a tuner tune one bank specifically lean opposite the other bank. this would almost sound like a bad front 02 sensor. if you have access to any diagnostic equipment you could watch the opperation of the 02 sensor. you should be able to tell if its bad as they usually "pin" when they are meaning they will only read the highest which i think is around 5v or the lowest 0v.

i am the one that drove the car for him and the cel did not come on until after the mac was put on, but when i drove it it just felt as if there was no gear or that the timing was retarted way too much, been messing around with them for a long time and that is what it felt like to me, our friends 99 gt to me seems to rev a lot faster, maybe he might have a chip i have not checked........ hmmmm well see.....

hey you sound like me i almost have that same prob .but my 60' was way worse it was a 2.4 or 2.6 and i ran a 15.0 just like you and my friend has a bullitt and ran the samething and he ran his at 13.9... i think i just need better tires cause like you said you spun most of the way through second as did i... im just going to get better tires and then see whats up... if you get tires get bfg's they are the best besides of course micky thompson and all that but for just reg. street tires that will last and stick ok get bfg's!
