RE: 2004 mustang saleen supercharged
30K is a lot of coin for basically a 4 year old car w/ 23,000 miles. I would shop around for a cobra or buy an '05 GT for like 22K then put a S/C on it for 4-5K and save the rest.

You've gotten a lot of good feedback so far about the two cars.
Don't go anywhere near the 04S281 SCfor what they are asking. I bought my 02 Extreme last year with less than 13,000 miles for not a whole lotmore than they're asking for that 04 SC.
I'll second the earlier comment on the wheels too.....you have to do better than that to improve on the stock Saleen wheels.

I dont know why your wife didn't tell you.... but the Roush and saleen are actually GT VIN#'s, whereas the Mach 1 and Cobra aren't.... Roush and Saleen do the SAME EXACT thing....
and yes victor, I am only 22... Then again I work at a very big bank, doing business banking... They treat me well :-)... hopefully i'll have a house in the next year... and another car... and to think... I grew up in the NYC projects, haha...

And, if you insure a Saleen for anything less than it's worth (which can be done through a variety of methods.....gap insurance, sharing window sticker [after all, if you need to borrow any money for a Saleen.....the bank isn't going to lend it if the car isn't worth the $$$$], NADA, etc....) you're foolish. Yes, the Saleen VINs come up as GTs....but that doesn't mean that insurance claimson Saleen's have to result in GT value estimates.

Oh yes im aware.... but if you don't tell the insurance company it's a saleen and/or they don't inspect it - you will pay for it as a GT, and god forbid you wreck it, you will get compensated as a normal GT.... The insurance is optional... my moms bf is doing that on his roush - has it just under GT insurance... forget the car stickered at around 50k.... if he wants to be covered for the car he has to list his "performance parts" as insured, which will raise your premium.
