TOB retainer???
ok im about to get a new clutch ( a spec 1) because my tob is starting to go out again[:@] but a while back on my old post i was told that i should have replaced my tob retainer.. does that even exist?? were could i buy one?? or does the shop carry them in stock?? just wanna make sure everythings good to go so i wont have to drop my tranny again... damn longtubes[:@][:@]
I just bought one for my car. The part is basically self explanatory. It's hard to explain where it goes, but it's like a sleeve that kind of fits around the input shaft. I'm not too driveline savvy, so I'm not sure if the T-3650's even have a TOB retainer sleeve. But since you're putting on long tubes and upgrading the clutch while the tranny is dropped, it would be stupid to NOT put in a new TOB retainer sleeve.
But again, I'm not driveline savvy at all. I'm not even sure if the T-3650's come with one. Hopefully someone else will chime in..

I'm not sure If it comes on any other tranny besides the T-56 that are in the Cobra's. But I ordered mine from lethalperformance.com. Give them a call and see if they sell one for you tranny. If they do, then you'll most likely need one.
I talked with their sales rep Jared and had a bunch of questions about the TOB retainer sleeve. He's really helpful. Ask for him when you call and I'm sure you'll get the answer you're looking for.
