Do i need a KB boost a pump for my s/c kit? everything is in my sig. But the shop that i found to put it on says that i will need one is this true???

 

I'm not sure why KB offers a boost a pump rather than a focus pump but that's what most of us run with our centri blowers.

I really can't say not to use a boost a pump over a focus pump but maybe someone else can. You'll probably find the focus pump for less. Oh and it's svt focus pump...not regular focus.

 

as stated above the svt focus pump should do the trick. If you plan on making seriosu power later on you could get the GT (supercar)pump for the same price as the focus pump.

 

well see thats the thing....mine comes with the SVT focus fuel pump so why would this guy be telling me that i need the boost a pump as well???? well besides making money would it help me in the long run for some reason????

 

You'll be fine if you plan on staying on stock internals for a while.

 

If I remember corrctly you are not supposed to use a BAP with a focus pump. I remember a couple years back ready on tests that KB did with diff pumps and they did not do the focus pump due to issues when used with the BAP.

 

That is correct use one or the other a bap by itself with the stock gt pump will flow as much as the svt pump but if you already have the svt pump other than the pain of putting it in use it.

 

awesome guys thanks alot i sent the guy an email saying i had the svt fuel pump im not sure that he knew i had it when i told him i had the full supercharger kit. I think me and him are on the same page now. thanks for the help every one!
