Default WHAT TO DO ASAP

Ok so i live in Maryland and i am buying a used car from a private party. So the guy tells me the Cats are gutted but still on the car. I said i am not buying the car unless you get it to pass emisoons and get it maryland inspceted. Well no person would pass the car for MD Inspection becuse they said its lowerd to low l and clear conor headlights some other bull **** stuff. So he is paying his friend that does MD inspection for a inspectin slip 200 bucks. Now for emmisons i went with him to the emmisons place. It passed everything but failed the 02 mil senior. Is that becuse teh cats were gutted. Only cats that were gutted were the back ones. and they said the 02 sensors were bad in the front. Also for the maryland inspection since its not real just a slip and got signed off on. Do you think il trouble at the DMV geting my tags. Like there call the shop make sure its real or no problem at all? And also after it failed emmisons he took it back to his house when in the on board computer and delted the codes that tells the OBC test that 02 senors were bad, He said it would pass now? should i beleive him or pass on the car?

Its his problem to get it to pass smog for you.
i went through this ordeal when i was trying to get a car but it was through a dealer that had no idea the car had full exhaust, he told me ON TOP OF PRICE YOU NEED TO PAY ANOTHER 1200 FOR STOCK EXHAUST AND WE WILL KEEP THE OLD STUFF IS THAT OK?? i told them hell no and passed on the car to later find my bullitt...

This car had better be a hell of a deal to be such an imminent pain in the ***. With the gutted cats and shaky tune, it sounds like he was half assing it when he started modding.

The codes shouldn't "Come back" unless there is something wrong. The tune doesn't change it's self, if thats what he was saying.
