Default Cracked head

So the other day my brother was driving his car a 96 GT and he started losing oil/fluid bad. We had to tow it back to town and now my dad says he thinks hes got a cracked head and i was wondering what parts was it you needed to make the 96-98 engines have as much hp as the 99+. I thought it was heads and intake but if you know for sure could you tell me how what parts you need and around how much it will cost for the swap?

the swap is called a PI swap. you will need the heads, cams, and intake manifold of the 99+ GT and some minor alterations. with this u will actually pull more HP than a 99+ GT because this swap raises ur compression ratio. the problem with this swap is after its done u MUST use 91+ octane gas or u will have major detonation issues. which is why im looking into a 4banger as a daily driver cause 93 octane gas in my car is getting a bit too expensive.
