is the oil filter the same for the sohc and dohc?

because i bought the one in the manual for the 4.6 sohc it did not mention anything about the dohc 4.6?

but no oil has come out YET

yes sir, they are the same, all the modular ford v8's are the same

820, 4651, 210 those should be some different part numbers for your filter
