+1000000, If you really need to get good at it fast go and find a hill in a parking lot or your drive way (somewhere where there are no people to hit you) set up cones about six inches behind your bumper, and practice launching over and over again, until you feel comfortable.

If you REALLY have trouble and can never seem to master it starting on hills, you could always pull your parking break half way up and go from there.

...just try not to burn up your clutch doing it!

This is why it's a good idea to have both an auto car and your 5sp. Everyone longs for what they don;t have. If you have both, you can just switch when you get bored (or annoyed) with one.

I don't have two Mustangs, but I do have other cars. 2 manuals and 2 autos actually.

I really never use the barking brake thing, just because I dont like it, but my friend uses it almost daily (he is a really crappy driver). Living in N.C. no roads are straight or flat so i just got use to it.

Aw this reminds me of me a while ago when I was learning how to drive manual on the mach.
The only thing it takes is TIME. There really are no tips... just drive it and gain more experience.. that's really all.
