your leaving out the facet that the 5.0 takes extremely well to modsif he didnt have that aod tranny he'd own you...me and my friend raced when i had the 4.6 and i had about the same mods as you and he has a 89 lx with the same mods as your friend...5spd vs 5 spd he edged me out up top

You know im in the same boat. My best friend has a 89 Convertible 5.0. Who do you think would win?

you'll probably win just because his is a vert and is heavier...but then again it could be a drivers race

well i never got him to come out that night he told me he broke his main cylinder and he had no brakes lol

Be carefull when i loaded the "re packeged" tune from my diablo sport my car actually ran 3/10ths slower in the 1/4 and made 9 less rwhp on the dyno. I tuned it up myself and made 15 rwhp over stock and ran 4/10ths faster than stock. So becarefull what you do.
