You've gotta remember to factor in the parts needed to swap the heads. You're gonna be looking at a pair of headgaskets and some head bolts at least. It's arguable, but still not really a great idea to torque the same ones again. Ford makes a head changing kit that's pretty reasonable. jEEd has dealt with the kit a couple of times if I remember correctly, might wanna shoot him a PM or maybe he'll troll his way in here today.

But new gaskets will run you a pretty penny. As for head recommendations.. My modular was stock, and I never really looked into head choices, so I can't be much help there.

Good luck

With VT going under, the first thing that would come to mind are the Patriot Stage II heads. I dont have experience with them, but I believe ZW99 has patriot heads...try PMing him...

Personally, I dont see the point in swapping ported heads just to use a stock PI cam...but if thats all you can afford, thats what you gotta do...which is probably good anyway. Because with a blower cam/ported heads and a procharger....even at low boost, you'll probably be walking a thin line on the stock internals...

Even just with ported heads and a good tune, I bet you'd be about as high as I would feel comfortable going on a stock shortblock...

Excellent point. I think the P&P heads would be a waste of money since you're already close to the limit of your stock bottom end. Save up for a forged shortblock, you're half way there. If you need to spendsome money, get a set of custom blower cams.

And gambling FTW!!!! Nice job!!!
