I have the escort passport x50 8500

you can get it on ebay for around 250 well at least that's what I payed for mine like 2 years ago.. it's probably about time to get a new one though as I've seen a few cops pointing **** at me and it wasn't going off lol.

I love mine though - works like a charm!

From my experience Valentine 1 is the way to go. Valentine 1 is a little expensive but its worth every cent. Valentine 1 has saved us from a few tickets and is very dependable. There have been many times when it goes off and you expect to see a patrol car in front of you. Just as you think that this thing is broken a patrol car comes over the hill. The warning gives you so much time its crazy. For sure worth the cash

explain to me how they are a waste of money? and valentine 1 ftw.
For the most part......We all speed on the interstate agreed???? Now with that said, Lets take a look at the average daily commute on the interstate (for me anyways). I hit the on ramp and the car in the lead is taking his/her time (45mph on the on ramp). After changing the radio about two times and gripping the wheel so tight you could choke an elephant, you finally get on the interstate. You shuffle in and out to get ahead of the slow moes (who by the way are already going 65+). Jump back over into the cruisin' lane and kick it at about 75-80MPH. Then you reach the first guy going 70mph.........Gripping the wheel again, you jump over into the passing lane and kick it back to about 75-80mph. ALL OF A SUDDEN....you see HEADLIGHTS ON YOUR ACE!!!!! You tell yourself "look at this a-hole on my a$$" as you merge back over. The car flys by you DRAGGING ABOUT TEN OTHERS!!!!!! You catch up to the next car doing 70mph and AGAIN grip the wheel then it dawns on you-------- This guy is probably calling ME an A-hole!!!!!!!

Moral is: No matter how fast you go, there is always someone that is FASTER and would be caught BEFORE you.......Even if you run 80mph

ok well you see if that ******* that passed you who was going faster then you had a decent radar, his chances are lower of getting a ticket. my point proven.

How is this????? If the po po hit him with the ole instant on, He is TOAST!!!! My point (since you could not read between the lines) is that why speed when you are already hitting 80 mph on the Interstate??? How fast do you want to travel and where in the hell are you going to be in that much of a hurry??? Please tell me you are not going to WORK!!!!! Why speed to go somewhere when you did not want to go there in the first place???? I could see if you had a life threating incident or child birth....I could then see the speeding but I guess you will grow out of it when you get a couple of tickets or a family that depends on you to arrive home SAFELY!!!! Do not get me wrong though, I am 34 and I still do stupid things like the occasional street race (when egged on) but I am more content to cruise at 75mph and listen to SIRIUS while watching the mad dash in the passing lane.

Detectors were good back when the speed limit was awfully slow....but with the standard today, I see no point to have one.

Well I do, I mean who doesn't like to open it up for a quick burst up to 120 or so on an open highway, and I'd rather be safe then not get a HUGE ticket. My friend has the V1 and he was able to stop and slow down from when he was going 125 at 2am.
I don't condone speeding but every once in a while in a "safe" enviornment, its a big rush, to me at least.
