Its possible you could pull it off..But rebuilding these arent cheap. Im doing it for a second time due to faulty motorcraft parts. My family owns a shop and its still kinda on the hefty side. But you should be fine if you get it tuned for it
the reason you WANT/NEEDa tune with a dry kit is because it relies on your fuel pump and injector to supply the needed fuel. i would recomend upgrading your fuel pump for sure if you have to get a dry kit. i would never run nitrous without a tune personally. a dry kit creates a way bigger lean spike then a wet kit does and even with a tuned wet kit, like mine, i still have a lean spike when it hits. i imagine what a dry kit is. because the fuel pump cant react fast anough to supply the fuel. so you are lean for a little which is BAD. really bad especially with nitrous. i had to replace my stock fuel pump with a svt focus with my wet kit because of the spike, i could of kept the stocker but it made my lean spike not as bad and it just gave me the extra sense of security.
