no need for a 3000 stall on a street car....
I know u r just joking...right? I believe that any performance minded auto driver should invest in a stall/gears/DRs for best performance. Of course exhaust and intake mods will help with breathing, but to get an auto to move off the line U WILL NEED a stall/gears/DR's. If you plan on racing against any manual car with identical mods, u wont beat it with an auto without the right "off the line" mods...its a proven fact! By the way, dont go less than a 3400 stall, many may argue this, but the PRO's know it to be true...ask around about that one. J mod is awesome, butlentech, BC automotive and PA auto make great valve bodies as well.Get a really good trans cooler to wrap it all up.

I agree with you 100% valve body and cooler are a good start then you could do a converter.

Is buying a shift kit + stall really a huge difference? I don't take my car to the track, so would it still be cool to buy it anyway? I was lookin' at a 3000-3400 stall. Would that be good to run? Sorry, i don't really know to much about shift kits and stalls.

Thanks.
He says right there he doesn't go to the track so why would he need a 3400 stall...that would be a HUGE waste of money. There's no need for a 3400 stall from a stoplight. And if you're not going to the track and not going to be running big time racing anything then I really don't think you need to go through your vavle body but you can if you want. I would recommend getting a tranny cooler and then do probably a 2200-2500 stall, like I had said before That way you don't have to screw with anything, or pay to have someone put anything in your tranny. Buy yourself a tuner like Superchips or SCT or Diablo and hook it up to your computer and put in a tune along with increasing your line pressure and shift points. If you want something that's going to give you more of a "kick in your pants" feel then go with new gears. 3.73's if you drive a LOTof highway and 4.10's if youdon't drive a lot of highway.

the j mod valve body is a 100.00 and well worth it and nothing to install.

Yeah, just stick to the jmod and trans cooler if u want your trans to work more efficiently. If u want all out better performance, stall/gears/DR's. Im done.
