errrr.. don't you mean 3000rpm and up? you don't even begin to build boost until about 3k and hit max boost at redline. [&:]

Centrifugal supers give you boost around 2000 rpms and up. Great for saving gas. Twin Screw supers are instant boost. I'll be passing you at the pump.

Umm... if you had stock heads and cams, you'd probably start building boost a lot sooner (like 1500 LOL). Those heads and cams are preventing a whole lot of backpressure. Thats a good thing though, your still flowing a crap ton of air with less turbulance and heat caused by increased pressure.

my car makes 0psi up until ~3000rpm with a 2.60 pulley and my stage 3 heads and blower cams

I know what your saying, but I make 1-2 PSI from about 2200 to 3000~ RPM, even with the n/a cams and stock vortech pulley.
My car on a mustang dyno made more power at 3000 RPM than it did before on a dynojet at any RPM point. Even a little boost (or lack of manifold vac) helps out a ton.
I have to say that if your driving easy I don't think a twin screw will hurt the MPG any worse, or at least not much, compared to a centri.

edit: just want to be clear that all that i said above is a good thing... pressure isn't everything... but airflow is and nanaki has mad airflow with heads and cams

RE: Mustang GT Supercharger Questions
wow... how are you going to tell me what my gauges read? even when i had no engine work done, i'd be bored and hit it going 10mph in 2nd and glance at the gauge and rpm. it stayed just below 0psi and just before 3k, it would hit 2 and you'd feel the car pull back a bit. it's more of a punch with the new setup than when i had the stock motor. you can even hear it in my car when it's on the dyno. when he guns it in 4th, you hear it climb, then it's just a kick in the pants when it finally hits the boost http://208.53.138.248/stock.mp4
Typically, a centrifugal supercharger will make it's maximum (quoted) boost at the engine's redline rpm and nearly nothing at 1500-2000 engine rpm.

Off topic, but can any1 tell me why my modularpowerhouse.com will not work on my computer. I've been wanting to look at the kit too see the specs and it says the site isn't valid. I've been trying for a few months and just never check on anyone else computers. Thanks.

RE: Mustang GT Supercharger Questions
buy mine
this question depends on use and goals, as well as budget... centris for the money cannot be beat, but turbos are best for most street/strip guys, but if you want bracket racing consistancy then you may want a twin screw and a trick suspension, one is not so much automatically better than the other - they can all be setup to beat eachother, but the question becomes time, effort, skill and money
