stupidity
okay, so ya'll should have told me that 550rwhp is going to be way tooo much for the street. Today was the first day I went WOT in the car, and lets just say I'm having the thing detuned, basically wasted 1st and 2nd gear, an probably an a quarter of the life of my tires. I can't even imagine you guys with your KB's, way too much torque for me.
I think that 400rwhp and maybe 7lbs of boost is far more than enough for me

Can't you load different tunes for different occasions? Whats the name of the company that has the bezel and you can change between 3 tunes with a ****?
Get a second set of tires for the track. You've done the work to get the numbers (impressive), you just gotta find a way to put it to the ground now.

I'm using a locally built 298CID, with Mahle dished pistons at 8.5:1 compression. Stage II heads, not sure which brand, and comp cam's (I'm pretty sure custom ground), titanium valves and new valvesprings, 60lb/hr injectors and a custom (semi discreet) return style fuel system (uses the stock fuel rail covers)
Vortech T-trim set at 16PSI and 8 rib pulley set-up. Snow performance stage II boost cooler with Stoichiometrically correct 50/50 methanol/water mix.
I believe it's a Borg&Warner performance Built "interceptor" transmision with the AOD gearset (close ratio gears), hardened gears, manual valvebody.
Drop in 9" rear, not sure on the brand, and I don't feel like routing around and finding the brand name. 3.73:1 Final Drive ratio ring and pinion
Tokico adjustable coil overs, full length subframe connectors, custom 8pt roll cage.
I think that's everything, but if I miss something, don't sue me

I may look into welding in a wastegate set-up, that way I can turn down the boost when I need to, it looks pretty neat

Too much??? Don't be a *****! [8D]
JK I wouldn't know... I've never touched the gas pedal of something with that much power
Sounds like you have one menacing GT though! Props!

*****?
I don't mind being one if it keeps me alive, that way I get more real p***y

Like I said, I will look into a wastegate set up - that way I can run this tune when I have the nitto's on the back. I'm also having my wheels widened to 13" once I find someone to do it, that should help

This is partly why I laugh at people who have 900+rwhp, I know how worthless 550 is, I couldn't imagine how much you would spin with 900Rwhp

well hell, I have zero wheel hop, I don't know what else would be able to get the power to the ground outside of ET streets or something. Hoosiers hook pretty well too, but I only get like 3,000 miles on the street.
Trust me, at 500 rwhp I think it start's to loose it's fun factor, unless you have a 5spd, which of course I'm looking for so I can swap out
