Here's a video from inside the car, on a local road. I spun through first and partly second, and I couldn't even come close to 6800RPM. Its not the best quality, and it was before I fixed a couple things.

Oh, and it wasn't at full throttle. I think 0-100mph in 10 sec at 50% throttle is pretty good

550rwhp is a beast no doubt, but it's nothing to get scared, or call yourself stupid over. With the proper tire and suspension setup, you wouldn't be able to spin the tires EVER. Now that's a little extreme(cuz spinning tires is fun), but you need to talk with a suspension dealer and find a happy medium.

yup agreed with everyone else i know that 550rwhp is a beast but i dont think it's too much... def. get a 5 spd that will help out a lil bit on your gear ratio's depending on how your trans was built... just get a bad *** supsension and i dont think those nitto's are going to hook that good for you...

I wouldn't think 550RWHP is too much for the street with the right set up suspension-wise, like a lot of the other guys have said.. You said you were running a Borg/Warner tranny, I'm guessing it's an auto since you mentioned looking for a 5-spd? You could try something like a TKO if that floats your boat. I've got the TKO-600 with LCA's/UCA's, and I'm pushing a hair under 450 to the wheels right now and I love the way it drives on the street. Granted I don't have as much power to the wheels as you do, but the only time my tires break loose down low for the most part, is if the road's either wet or very slick, like some TX hwy's get in the summer with all the tar melting in the heat, and that's only when I really romp it towards the top end. That and I"m also still running 3.55's too, so the gearing helps some.. But 550 is definitely respectable brudda.. I'd keep the tune and do a little homework on a setup that'll help you plant the power better if it were me..

Thats pretty sad if you think 550hp is to much for the street. I know guys with over 600 on their daily drivers. You can't just build an engine you have to build the whole car. I got a buddy that drives a 750rwhp trans am to work on nice days and has no problem opening it up on the street.

SUSPENSION!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Looking at your video are your tires like 500 wear rating? haha. Its hard to tell but it doesnt seem like you have the stickiest tires around. Maybe just try out some good summer tires like these:

The big tread blocks are great for traction while still allowing some livable wet traction. And its a soft compound.

Im actually running on BFG KD's, I guess I just have a seriously bad suspension set up, which I'm working on changing
