advancing spark usuing an sct tuner
well i just tested it out with the spark bumped all the way up, so far it sounds the exact same as it did with the stock tune on it and god what a difference it made.
I had a talk with diablo about this, and they said no matter if your running 93 octane, its only safe to bump it up by 2 because diablo is optimized to work with 91. You most likely won't cause any problems bumping it up to hte max, but u will probably be running too rich and you should put it on a dyno.

i was trying to explain that to you earlier, when you were trying to bag on me, and i tried to tell you, that i have SCT and IT IS TUNED for 93!!
YOU have DIABLO....which ISNT. hence why yours doesnt/didnt ping with the timing thing. since its a 91 octane tune and you are running 93 octane!!

as long as your engine isnt pinging then you should be ok.
if you are running too rich, usually you would see some smoke out of the tail pipes.
you can also adjust air/fuel ratio with the tuner to lean it out if it is going rich....but as kingofquuenz stated, this should be done either on a dyno or with a gauge to read your a/f

If I read it right, he's advancing timing on top of setting octane at 93, hence the need to bump octane to avoid detonation. Noob here, might be wrong
