Default Transmission question

I have a '97 gt with an AOD tranny. I will soon be getting a Kenne Bell. I was thinking about swapping my tranny for a TKO600, but it would cost too much. I heard about torque converters for automatics. Does anybody have any advice on whether I should keep my auto or go with the TKO or other manual? If I get a torque converter, which one should I get if I plan on running 700 rwhp?

Thanks a lot,
Chad

If you plan on 700rwhp, I suggest personally that you stay with the 4R70W you have.

However, you will need to build it to accept that much power, the stock 97 transmission won't hold that kind of power.
