Look at the ports. The one on the left it NPI and the one on the right is PI. Also if it is a PI head im pretty sure it should say PI somewhere on it..

Right, did all 99 mustang gt's come with P.I. heads? I bought a used motor from a junkyard, the guys claiming its from a 99, yet it does not have p.i. heads.
what do the valve covers look like? the PI motors im pretty sure have an oil fill that is straight up and down and the NPI covers have an oil fill that is at like a 45* angle.
the oil filler is at the 45 degree angle like my old motor. But i need to know if all 99-04 motors were P.I. I have a feeling the guy at the junk yard is trying to screw me.
Ok well, i now know for a fact that this is a non PI motor, even had a local ford parts guy come out and hes been dealing with mustangs since they came out, right away he said "No thats not a PI motor"(even pointed out to me how to tell) So i called the junkyard where i got it, told them the news and after a few minutes of arguing with me, he said he will find me a 99+ motor or give me my money back. He told me over and over its from a 99 mustang gt. I think he was trying to scam me out of 900 dollars. Anyways, thanks for the help guys
