This would depend on the T-56 in question. If you are going by the manu's spec sheet the Viper spec T-56 is rated for 650+ TQ this is higher than the TKO's 600's 600TQ rating.

Default First gear and hookin' up.

I have a slightly modified but highly tweaked tuned '03 GT (260 HP/305 ft/lbs) and find that the 3.38 1st gear is just too low, making it difficult to hook up and then bouncing off the rev-limiter 4 to 5 mS later...
Unfortunately, if you want a different gear set, the 3650 is a poor choice. The stock gear set is the only one available. You can, of course, get the gearing you are looking for in the TKO. Based on our experience at the track, you really don't have too much gear, you have a suspension that is not doing it's job. I would love to sell you a transmission, but my first suggestion is to get the rear sorted out so you can hook up better.

There are guys running our 3650s at the track with 700hp winning with the stock gearing. Sort that thing out so the power gets to the pavement and you will have one wicked ride!

Just a quick note. The Viper t56 has a nominal rating of 650ft-lbs, while the TKO has a constant delivery rating of 600ft-lbs and a static torque rating of 1400ft-lbs. Because different methods are used to measure the strength of the two transmissions, it is hard to make an apples to apples comparison. One thing is for sure; though the Viper has very strong gears and shafts, the TKO has much stronger and more durable small parts, such as forks, pins and synchros, that make it an almost bulletproof assembly. When I sell a transmission to a customer with BONZO power I sell them a TKO, and after selling a couple thousand of them I can say that it is an excellent choice.
