So I ordered one from JET, now the guy at UPR who talked me into getting a UPR cold air intake and the SCT tunner, says it is not compatable with the intake and that I don't need it. SO know my buddies are telling I should have purchased a K& N cold air intke and a Diablo tunner, then the MAss Air Flow sensor would have worked and I would have gotten more horsepower and son on. It all this true?
you dont need an aftermarket mass air flow sensor untill u get a supercharger, there is ZERO advantage to having one if your not.

Hey Hateswhatownsyou, the tuner was easy and simple to installed, that is one of the reasons I have so many questions about it. Also, as far as power increase, I do notice a difference. However, I did all the work at ones therefore I can't confirm if most of the gain is because of the tuner or all the work. What is dissapointing to me is the fact that now my MPG reads about 4-5 miles more, 30-31 MPG on cruise control at 60 MPH compare to a 25-26 that I was getting before, yet by doing the simple math with pen and paper, I only get a 19 MPG average. The other issue is the gallons used base on a 30 mile trip, now reads 1 gallons, compare to the 1.5 before. I'm looking to find a place where I could get it dyno to get some real facts as far as HP gains. I'll keep you posted

Default More horsepower

Alright guys, I got a cold air intake, throtle body spacer, exaust, x2 tuner. I want more horses, what is the next baby step? is it headers, pulleys, Mobile 1 0-5 oil + high performance filter, a faster Hurts shifter to compensate horse. Please let me know.

i also have this tuner and have heard that to get good gains from it you will need a dyno tune. I have always wondered if diconnecting your battery cables will reset the tune?
