The three valve I think, is better than the 96-98 4v's with better response in the low end. I think it would be a worthy mod IF you found a great deal on a 3v and you could convert over what you needed and be at the same budget level or the budget you determined for that specific build.

Some people forget it's not always about making the easy decisioned swap, some times doing the harder more expensive build helps make the car your own. If we only did what was smart then anyone with a daily driver mustang would only drive it and maintain it, since modding rarely sees positive returns for resale. It's just like the NA vs. FI debate in the other thread right now, it's two heads to the same coin. Do what you think is best for you. If you want tech advise, ask for it.

I'll say this, unless you are building a 1000+rwhp car, the 3V will do everything a 4V can.

I'm a huge fan of the 3V, as it's design was MUCH improved.

Has any body done the swap and retained the 3v computer stuff? the vvt maybe be worth while to keep....
