Wheel spacers
Do they make a light Mustang wheels in 10.5? Not unless you get some race wheels.
Do I remotely need a 315 in the rear? No.
Having that big of a tire or that heavy of a wheel is simply unnecessary unsprung weight.
Do our cars need a 315 in the rear? No. So is this rice simply because it looks cool and could actually slow you down?
Anyone or I should say most everyone who gets a 10.5 wheel like myself do it for the looks, performance or both but there are other things that you can do to make your car grip better with 275's or lower, then to just slap some 10.5 315's on a stock suspension.
As far as the weight goes. You better believe most of those rims are heavier, at least when comparing my stock bullitts to the 03 cobra rims I have now. I just put my other ones back on for the winter for occasional start ups and drives, and when I took them off I was reminded again of the extra weight.
The heavier rims once up to speed are going to act just like any other normal rim. It takes greater input to get the rotational mass of the rim up to speed which is most apparent from 0 velocity/acceleration but once moving they won't slow you down to a point to where you can tell. They actually might help in the traction department if you are crazy on the throttle off the line. That w/drag radials usually make for a much improved take off. Just somethings to consider when doing it the non-spacer way.

Do they make the tires I choose and need to use in sizes larger than 275? No.

I simply do not see why spacers is "rice" when most people running 10.5's and 315's for appearance isn't...
