Default New to the forums and have a couple questions

so to start out, i just bought a used 1996 mustang gt with a little under 100k miles on it. I have only bought some 245/45R18(i think) tires and a K&N CAI.

Ok so to the questions. The shifter seems weird in my opinion. for one it doesn't seem like there is a spring to take it from far left to the center and the one from right to center is really stiff. should i buy a new shifter or is there a way to adjust that? Also with the shifter it doesn't feel like a smooth shift in that it clicks twice as it goes into gear, kinda hard to explain.

With the engine, i think i hear a knock around 3k rpm. I ran premium through it once and it went away for a little bit but now it is back, what can i do to fix that?

I also hear the fuel pump. is that normal or should i buy a new one to make the sound go away?

And finally, there are spots on my windows that i have been told are either acid rain spots or salt water spots. i have tried everything that i though that would work to take them off, including buffing wheel and cleaner. Any ideas?

Thanks

You could try some 50/50 water/vinegar mix on the water spots.

White Distilled Vinager. Also clay bar works really good. Mothers.

As for the knock does it go from 3k and up? or only at 3k. If it was a rod knock you would hear it the entire time.

definitly sounds like the owner before you had some go fast parts on the car. I wonder if the car still has a tune on it and it knocks unless u run 93 octane.
