Id trust what JayC and 01GT4.6 say. I mean i wouldnt go with off the shelf cams like Comps. If i would go off the shelf, it would be CMS because i personally have talked with Jim and he is a very helpful guy and his grinds are supperb

First you said bottom end, then you made mention of the rods..

THat is what i responded to..

Later on you made mention of heads, and valve stability, which of those are the reason that the rods wont go past 6250? which of those have anything to do with the shortblock giving up?

my guess is you tried to bring heads into this to save some face? and make it look like you know what your saying?
EGGZachary my point.. nobody is talking about the valvesprings..that should go hand and hand with a cam swap. people are talking about the bottom end of a 2vs motor like is something completely different.

But if I really don't know what I'm talking about, explain to me how the stock shortblock is going to last, on stock 2V heads, with a Cast Iron Crank (which isn't included in any cobra IIRC).

Don't get your panties in a bunch, I'm sure you've misspoken plenty of times. Get over it.

The stock engine isn't going to last long at all at 6500RPM on the stock internals and without ported heads, with only a larger cam.

There, is that better?
why 6500 now? you said specifly 6250 before?
