a carbed 4.6 i suppose to make some serious power... for a 4.6 that is, i think there was a magazine article that did that very thing and it made 394 engine horsepower...is that where you got the idea from?

get stage 1 cams...they make more power down low... bigger cams dont kick in until more rpm....and your car dont rev to 7k, so you dont need massive cams...

read up here for more info - its in a sticky, surprised you didnt already see it

Surprised you didnt read your link...

So, in summary...if you stay with a stock shortblock and want a solid high 12 second car, get Stage 1 cams, intake plenum, 75mm TB, long tube headers, good mid pipe, 4.10's, upper/lower CA's.

High 12's? Thats not for me... or for many of the people on here.

Some very strange info in this thread. Someone needs to do a little more research before getting cams.

Uhh... tell me whats wrong? Maybe its an unfair comparison because im comparing stage 2 cams but the XE274H is more like a stage 2.5. But these are the 3 cams that i decided to compare and this is what i found.
