if youre such an expert on cams, why did you even make this thread asking people?

i call BS on that dyno graph too.... 40rwhp from cams?

when you are adding N2O and FI into the mix, why didn't you compare then w/ custom cams? I guess that would have been unfair???

And the XE274H are not making power past 6500 rpm, they are making power at 5500 RPM.

i already said i was not talking specifically about those or the cms cams, i was saying in general the bigger the cam the more revs it takes... cms and that hitech are just weird cams...only cams ive dealt with are pushrod ****

and that dynograph you showed shows significant loss of low end power...gotta love being a pig outta the hole

I made the first thread looking for information. Not asking about cams. This thread was to show what i found. And are you serious 40 rwhp is not uncommon by cams. Hitech CMS and Comp make that power. So you should stop talking and do your own research.

Like i stated before i did my research on 3 cams. I didnt do research on F/I so i just threw some there. Ill take it out to make people happy. Listen this isnt a "IM COMPARING ALL CAMS ON 2V" Its a comparison by 3 common cams. CMS stage 2, Hitech stage 2 and comp XE274. Then i compared their N/A aspect and their abillity to take Nitrous. Because that is what i use.

That is true and i do not disagree here. From a dig first gear will suck but it will be for a short period of time >3500 rpm. From there the car will scream and pull.

Again i dont diagree with you here but it comes to what you want. I would rather have a cam that is better for me N/A then when i want nitrous i can do both. So i compared what was my best option based on those 3 cams.

guess im just out of the loop on modular stuff since ive been looking into pushrod options for as long as ive owned this car... why would you focus on NA with a nitrous car? is it your dd? is it a tiny nitrous shot?

Staying out of the modular stuff will cause you to be out of the loop. Hey happends to the best of us man. Its my dd im using a 100 shot, and might go to 125, and i dont spray much. So since im N/A for the most part i want a cam that does better for n/a and when the time comes Nitrous. Thats why my comparison was on what cam was better for both.
