Default lowering springs

my 99 Gt is sitting on Cobra R's that are 18x9.5s and i want to lower the car about 1.5-2". i was wondering if my rim size would give me any problems for the front wheels?

You are running 9.5"s up front?

If so, I would expect you to have some rubbing or be outward of fender. Once it is lowered, I don't see how you will avoid rubbing unless you have 245's or something.

What size tires you running now?
