I might be getting a 02 Mustang GT 5spd i was wondering if there is anything i should look out for like any problems?
the car i might get has 61K on it

 

The mod bug...

 

See if the intake manifold has an aluminum crossover or plastic. If plastic then set aside a couple hundred bucks for a new one cause it will go sooner or later.

Other than that, just usual things. See if the tranny shifts good, no weird noises, vibrations etc.

 

i agree with gtracer...when i was looking, there was an 02 putting 450 ont he stock block with a novi supercharger, had 20k more miles than the one i ended up with, and was 1000 less. looking back, i am very glad i got the one i did, which was completely stock

Also: tire tread, brake life, oil change records, alignment,...

 

I wouldnt buy it if it had more than a CAI, exhaust, and UDP or a tuner.
of course car fax i do that b4 i buy any car
