they may have just put the area code in wrong, try giving them the area code of where you were visiting, b/c most places just assume you live locally.

I assume that they did enter it wrong. I was hoping someone would say "I bought these a while ago from Autozone and I PM'd you the number and zip I bought them under" lol. I will probably end up buying a set of new hawk pads or something when I get my hours back at work. I was just wanting to warranty them so that I did not ruin the rotors if they wear down too far. Thanks everyone! 50 posts! Woohoo! :-)

I worked at advance autoparts and then Autozone as a manager for 2 years. I would usually if I liked the person and I didnt find nothing on its record I would give you credit for what its worth or do a damage swap. I bought the duralast gold Cmax brakes with LLT warranty and are ceramics so they varely make any dust at all and breaking is awesome. Now another thing that they could of done with your warranty is that like me sometimes when my friends needed some part I would normally type the numbers of ppl that came and bought things for mustangs or corvettes and when one of my friends or I needed the part we would just swap it from that particular persons warranty. I would normally leave the record open and it would just renew the warranry but if some one thats not a manager does it wrong it might actually take off the item from the record and just give the person a new item or even get the full amount of value for that item. Its called damage swap for an item then go to a different store and return them, and get the money for them and the person that bought them wont have warranty when they come back. Did you get my point? I hope this helped you.

So I went in tonight to get some muffler clamps and asked the mamager who was ringing me up about this situation. It was about 8:15pm. He said that if I had them off and there by 9, he would warranty them. I was back by 8:50, with a very hot set of pads in my hands. They gave me the premium ceramics because they did not have the others in stock. Best part is that they were FREE! Thanks for the replies everyone.

First thing is first. WHY? dont you guys check your receipt info. everytime you buy some thing with warrenty it would hape your info on the bottom witch is your name and number. If it dont match u can fix it then and there.
Next thing, here is a little something most people dont know. if you change your number or your number doesnt come up have them look it up under your first name, last name and your zip code. that usually does it. any more question let me know....... hope this was useful

buy new brakes at one autozone, then take your defects back to another autozone say they were like that in the box when you got home and demand your money back works everytime
