Default Exhaust question

Hey guys, I'm planning on getting a Mac catback for my GT next week. I was wondering if anyone has gutted their stock cats? What are the pro's and con's of doing it?

Thank's

Pro's: less restriction, louder, cheaper than buying an o/r pipe. Con's: throw oxygen sensor codes without mil's or turned off rear o2's with tuner, smaller diameter pipe than o/r pipe, more effort to gut the cats than what its worth. Take the midpipe to a scrap yard and get money for the cats(because they have precious metal inside them) and buy yourself an o/r h pipe from MAC. It will cost you maybe $60 over what you will get for your midpipe and it will be a lot less hastle.

If you were going to gut it, why not just cut it out and put in a couple peices of pipe in? Probably what I'm gonna do soon....but I don't have stock pipes I have 2.5"
