Default can't figure out how to remove pass door lock actuator...

Door panel is off...I took off the three screws holding the door latch in the jam out. The assembly is stuck in still because of the rod connecting to the door handle itself. Is there a write up out there somewhere or something? I jsut can't figure out how to get the actuator out and I don't want to break anything!

So how did you solve this problem? I'm having the same problem... It looks like you somehow unhook the plastic clip, but I don't want to break it. Also, where did you find the best deal on a new assembly? The motor seems to have gone out on mine. Thanks!

It has een so long that I don't really remember everything. I found a how to guide somewhere for doing it on like an f-150 I think. Most Fords use the same actuator so just google a how to guide and you should be good.

the metal rods attach using clips. If you get a light and a 90* pick you will be able to see the tab you have to pull.. It will unhook itself then the rod simply comes right off

Thanks a lot for the response with the picture! I thought I needed to pull the tab, but I was afraid I'd break it. So I gave it a good pry where you indicated in the picture, and worked like a charm. It's great having both actuators working again!

This should be a sticky. Let's face it, at some point every single sn95 owner will be doing this job Ford can make some crummy window motors and locks!
