Default New Gauges

Does the mileage stay with the gauges or is it stored in the computer. If it isn't stored with the gauges then why do people advertise the amount of mileage on them.

It IS stored in the cluster, but you can take the chip out and swap it to any other cluster.

Are the chips different between venders i.e. Roush, Saleen, and Ford Motorsports (stock).?

no.. every aftermarket and factory cluster REQUIRES that you install your factory cluster chip in the back of it. Because of PATS you have to keep your chip with your car or it wont start..unless u turn PaTS off.
