where to get new bumper 99-04 GT
My pony just rolled the 100,000 mile mark, and im just doing her a favor and trying to change out, tune up or repair any of the issues that my rough driving has caused. Right now I'm focusing on the body as most of the moving parts arent anywhere near 100k.
All sorts of rock chips/paint chips on my hood and front bumper from, lets just say 100k miles of 'spirited' driving... I also have some parking lot wear on my front bumper and passenger side scoop from some *** who cant drive. I just got some 2001 bullitt side scoops to smooth out the look/replace the scuffed up one and am being sent a 95 cobra r style cowl hood But I dont have the faintest idea where to buy a good quality replacement GT bumper. Ive seen a ton on ebay, but the prices seriously scare me. They're all like 40-80 bucks. I just dont want to get some p.o.s. thats not going to hold a good paint job or crack too easily... and i know some of you will say "get a cobra bumper" blah blah blah....i really just want a GT style lol
suggestions?

Try calling a local Ford stealership first. I know it sounds crazy but sometimes they can actualy get parts for cheaper than vendors.
I know latemodelresto.com carries them and i beleive they are OEM parts, however good luck dealing with them.

try searching for tousley ford. They are a wholesale parts distributor and they are a ford dealership so you only pay like 30% over what they own it for. Try that. Shipping might eat you though all the way up there in ct. Its easier to come by a cobra bumper though. Lot more people making them because they are more popular. Im picking mine up for 175 primed and ready for paint. But its all up to you man.

pershing auto, i think its less than 100 bucks, i got my 03 cobra bumper from them painted, it looked good and fit good, so you might wanna see how much more it would be to have them paint the gt bumper they have
