as for the IRS if your into drag racing id stay FAR away..but if not get a IRS brace and new derlin bushings. if its a 01 IRS make sure you upgrade your halfshafts to 03/04 01's have 28 spline shafts while the 03/04 have 31 spline

and if you do get a 01 4v do it right and get the cams best for what you want to do with the car (comp stg 1-3 or custom grind etc..) dont waste money to go back and redo everything. might be a wise move to have the motor built before throwing it in also
T56 will last to more than 700 as long as you have the right clutch.. THrowing metalic type clutches like the spec 5s just beat the hell out of everything and thats what break them..

with a twin disk they will last easily... but if its going to be a bolt on 4v car overall power handling of the t56 is irrelavant.

also 01 irs have 31 spline axles, but they have crappier inner cv joints, and they dont have the diff brace that goes on the front under the differential...

Yea thats all you need is to kill the 02 sensors in the tune. It sucks man because I love the sound of my setup catted but I dont want to buy another midpipe so Im just going to ruin mine..lol

b) Typical t56 cost is around what 3k with all the parts(not including labor)?
Why are you planning an IRS swap? You will do better with a built SRA on AX and 1/4

As for T-56 swap, I spent around $3500 and another $500 to help my buddy install it at his shoppe. That included new Pro50 shifter, alum. DS, cross-brace and everything. Was well worth the swap to me, but be sure to research the gearing as there are several ratios available.

Did anyone see the new T-56 3636 article in 5.0 magazine? 26spline, capable of 700ft lbs and has both mechanical and electronic speed sensors in stock trim? I'm saving my pennies for next year. :0)

Because IRS' are comfy on the DD(which my car is). T/A PHB combos are rough on the road so id rather have a the IRS. Its a DD before its a race car lol. I do plan on doing a ta/phb combo however if i cant find an IRS
