If I do go that route what kind of power would I be looking at with upgrades such as comp cams, heads, procharger/supercharger, and the other basic bolt-ons?
well, if $$$ is a slight issue, maybe you can pic up a used motor and start doin a little here and there. well, w/cams, heads, (i think tha pi heads would be fine though) s/c easy 400-600hp. depending on tha cams and s/c and tha tune. but dont forget the forged internals ! w/out those ur hp will be limited , due to damage to ur motor! but there's a ton of more guys on here that know alot more than me! so keep searchin around and u'll get tha info ur lookin for.

Your most cost effective dollar/power ratio is going to be a centrifugal supercharger, likely a vortech, pieced together using the parts listed in the "1500$ supercharger" thread over in pies, boost & juice. You can have a reliable, safe, 350 rwhp for around 2-2.5k$ after a tune. N/A is not an option for you, as it will cost waaay more than 4k to get the performance you are looking for.

So all I need is a supercharger and I'll be making around 350 at the wheels? That sounds like a sweet deal...

Here ya go, check out some of these stickies, theres loads of good info there. Oh, and yes, 350 is on the low low end of the spectrum.

you can easily get to that amount of power on really low boost. It sounds like money is really your limiting factor right now. Don't skimp or you will regret it. Be patient (if that can really happen in this hobby) and save up for what you really want to do.

good luck!!

Well I guess now I just need to be patient and save up for a bit so I can get one, and hopefully do everything right lol.
