bolt on gt vs bolt on mk5 gti
sorry for posting in this section but i cant post in the street strip yet. anyway last night my buddy calls me up and asks if i wana go drive around for a lil bit with a group of other cars. i say yea why not and we all meet up at some local wawa. when i get there theres some kid with a gti sayin its a 12 sec car this and that so i ask him what its got done to it. he said intake, some custom tune and exhaust. we go out onto the highway and i pull up next to him...beep 3 times and were offf. started in 3rd gear and it was pretty even till i shifted into 4th then i pulled maybe half a car on him. pretty good race but i dont think its a 12 sec car. my mods r full bolt ons with 3.73 gears. dynoed at 256rwhp 13.3 @ 105 best time. i think he would have pulled on me from a roll if he was runnin 12s

I am sure he was exaggerating a bit, I don't see them being 12 second cars with only those three things being done, but maybe I am wrong, don't know much about VW's other than I will never own one. Should have also tried a dig just to see where he was at.

yea..he had a few exuses like he should have started in 3rd and he had real bad fuel cut...iono..maybe he would have beat me in 3rd but whaaatever. i looked on youtube at a few mk5s with the same mods and some r actually running some good times. might have to go for a rematch soon....but i got a 100 shot for emergencys like that haha

I have a friend with a mk4 jetta, upgraded turbo and other junk. it is pretty nice and quick. he says he tops out at about 135 when his turbo relaxes. He wants to go play but I would rather track it. I have a 2000 gt with kn drop in, upgraded injectors, full exhaust,
