I run a motorcraft filter...its what came on the car so why not put it back on. You arent gonna gain anything by these other filters. And these filters were good enough to keep factory warranty so fod obviously trusts them. And they arent that expensive. And you can get them at walmart. Seriously, my oil changes cost like $34 or something using mobil 1. not gonna break the bank.

all K&N filters are is a bosch filter with a nut on the end and $10 added to the price tag, motorcraft filters ftw

I'm kind of play as the devil's advocate, but how was the car maintained before putting RP in? And how many miles is low mileage? If it was bought, then the new owner put in RP. Possibly the 1st owner could have not cared enough for the car to make reg oil changes. I'm just saying

The entire history of this car would need to be known to pinpoint where exactly things started to be neglected. It could have been like that before RP was used, or the sludge was much worst and RP cleaned out some.

history was said on the first page

car had 12k miles on it, and was on its 4th oil change with RP
