intake manifold

Default intake manifold

i have to replace my intake manifold on my 96 mustang gt.i was planning on putting aftermarket on because i found them cheaper then stock replacement.i was reading up and it said for me to put aftermarket manifold on i have to put power improvement heads.Anybody know why i would have to do that or if i even have to?

See if you can get a used pi intake. Its from the newer gts. 99-04. Yes you can install it without the pi heads. There is a good write up for this made by blackmage

yeah but i think alot of companies have brackets that adapt them and are really cheap so you dont even have to "rig" anything. but yes just use a PI manifold it will net you a little performance gain and they are cheap. even brand new they are less than 200
