Default How high???

What would be the highest life cams you would use with stock pistons??? And also as just a question in general, would i gain anything from putting turbo cams into my stock shortblock??? I was looking at Cushman's stage 3 turbo cams and they dont seem to be too high of lift. They are like .560/.560 with 238/238 and a 116LSA. So I take it that they are turbo specs cus it is a turbo grind cam. But would i be able to run them with a stock shortblock for a bit without a turbo??? Im planning on within the next 2 years to do a hellion single turbo with my car and just wanna get the cams out of the way sooner and hope for a slight performance increase and then when i get the turbo it will have a nice set of cams just suited for it already in there. Of course i know that im gonna upgrade the valve springs but would that cam be too heavy. Its a stage 3 but i didnt think that with the cam with those specs that it would be too much in terms of revs to be able to take advantage of the cam. Thoughts and comments appreciated.

+1 that is absolutely correct! If you are gonna stay with the stock block and heads, there really is no reason to go much above a 550 lift.

if your only gonna be running around 450rwhp ( saw it in the other thread) then all you need is the turbo lol

^^^True. But it wouldnt hurt to have the cams. But what is it that causes PTV clearance issues then???

bigger cams is not necessarily better meaning what rpm range will your future turbo setup kick in?? For example centri blowers typically kick in 3500-4000 with stock cams but increasing cams you increase your overall rwhp but shift your power curve losing mid range power.
