First: When I turn my wheels there is a weird crackling noise. I am thinking it might be the polyurethane bushings that need to be greased up. Any other suggestions?
Second: When I crank my steering wheel to the left (not even all the way) my power steering gets super loud. I know a lot of fords have this problem. It doesn't happen when I turn right though. Any suggestions on what this problem may be or solutions?

i think its just a mustang thing because my car is pretty much the same...

The "crackling" noise may be related to this TSB. One of the first things I fixed on my '03, just getting rid of the silly eBay HAI the previous owner had installed.

What is the nature of the loud noise the p/s makes when you turn to the left?

so what exactly need to be looked at?? I am gonna have my mechanic check that out? What do i tell him to look for though..

My cobra did the cracking noise in the front and I ended up having to replace the steering rack bushings. I think the bushings cost me $20 and I installed them myself which took about an hour.
