Default Wheel clearence question

Hey guys i have a 04 mustang gt and i was wanting to put 10.5 rims with 315's out back but i'm not sure i'll have enough room. I have the borla stinger catback and the clearence looks good on the driver side but on the passenger side i have like an inch of room between the tire and the exhaust pipe, and i have 245's right now. So do you guys think they'll fit or not and are n e of u having the same problem. thanks

if your talking a 17" rim i think ud be fine. if not have the pipe moved inward. 17x9 and 17x10.5 with 275's and 315's respectively are prob the most common wheel/tire setup on a new edge.

im running that combo on my 04 GT with about 1.25" drop, no issues

^ correct

I run a set of 11" wheels with 315's on nearly 2" drop, but required a wee bit of ye ol' hammer and a case of the rolled fenders *Jazzer still thinkin' in a Scottish accent*. I am also running a complete aftermarket suspension and have greater articulation than an OEM Mustang, so need more clearance than most y'all

The off-set of the wheels is going to play a sugnificant role here, so would recommend you run no more than a +28mm wheel in 10.5" with a 6.8" back-space. Will still likely need a little work under there so as not to rub on stuff.

I'm running a 10.5 with 315's and have about 1 inch of clearence on the drivers side. It's never been a problem.

You could also throw on a 1/8" spacer if it's to close.

^ 1" of clearance on the inside between the tire and back wall of fender? If so, this is minimal to allow the articulation of the axle.

Jazzer
No, between the tire and exhaust.
